About the Event

Gain a Level 3 Qualification in Mental Health First Aid on our 2-day course. We warmly welcome you to join us to learn the skills and knowledge so you can spot the signs of people experiencing poor mental health, whether that be colleagues, clients, or family and friends. You will be confident to start a conversation and signpost a person to appropriate support.

More and more employees are experiencing mental health challenges in the workplace. This course will not only allow you to become part of the largest mental health first aid community in England but also grant you access to resources, ongoing learning, and 24/7 support through our Support App. Additionally, you will receive complimentary 121 supervision from one of our qualified leaders. This course will add weight to your current skills and attributes and enhance your own understanding of how you can work in a team to support your clients and/or colleagues more effectively and confidently.

MHFA England training is a key component for creating a healthy workplace where the mental health and physical health of employees are valued equally. It gives people the tools to support their own mental health and that of their colleagues and encourages them to access timely support when needed.

Course outcomes: As MHFAiders, your employees will be able to:

Recognise those who may be experiencing poor mental health and provide them with first-level support and early intervention.

Encourage a person to identify and access sources of professional help and other supports.

Practice active listening and empathy.

Have a conversation with improved mental health literacy around language and stigma.

Discuss the MHFAider role in depth, including boundaries and confidentiality.

Practice self-care.

Know how to use the MHFAider Support App®.

Know how to access a dedicated text service provided by Shout and ongoing learning opportunities with MHFA England.

Takeaways: Everyone who completes this course gets:

A hard copy workbook to support their learning throughout the course.

A digital manual to refer to whenever they need it after completing the course.

A wallet-sized reference card with the Mental Health First Aid action plan.

A digital MHFAider certificate (additional cost applies in some cases).

Access to the MHFAider Support App for three years.

Access to ongoing learning opportunities, resources, and exclusive events.

The opportunity to be part of the largest MHFAider community in England.

Our internationally recognized RSPH Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid will give you a chance to demonstrate your commitment to the role and test your knowledge as an MHFAider with an eAssessment. Our Mental Health First Aid qualification is the only one of its kind to be endorsed and supported by the world's oldest public health body, the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH).

We look forward to welcoming you to the course.
